Water jets or air jets
Every jetted tub has a built-in system that pushes something through the water to create the massage. The difference comes down to what it pushes: water or air. People often call any of these jacuzzi tubs, though Jacuzzi is a trademarked brand rather than a type of tub.
Water-jet tubs, sold as whirlpool tubs, recirculate the bathwater through jets you can aim and adjust. The pressure is stronger and more targeted, which is what you want for focused muscle relief. Air-jet tubs, sold as air baths, blow warm air through dozens of small ports in the tub floor, producing a softer effervescence across your whole body rather than a directed stream. Some models, including several from EAGO, run both systems in one tub.
We carry both from EAGO, ANZZI, and Atlantis, in freestanding, corner, and drop-in styles. Every one ships factory-tested with the pump, blower, heater, and jets already installed.

Can a freestanding tub have jets?
Yes. Nearly half the jetted tubs we carry are freestanding, including acrylic whirlpools and man-made stone air-bath models. A freestanding jetted tub houses its pump and blower within the shell, so it installs as a centerpiece without a surrounding deck.
What is the difference between a whirlpool and an air-bath tub?
A whirlpool circulates water through adjustable jets for a firmer massage. An air bath pushes warm air through many small ports for a softer, all-over soak. Some tubs offer both.
Can a whirlpool tub fit two people?
Yes. Two-person models are typically corner or six-foot rectangular tubs with dual backrests. Confirm length and width before ordering.
Do jetted tubs need special wiring?
They run on standard household power but require a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit. Plan for a licensed electrician during installation.
