About Rustic Tubs
The wooden tub, and its rustic cousins
A wooden soaking tub is the centerpiece of a rustic bath. Made from cedar planks in the tradition of a hot-spring or cowboy tub, it brings a warmth, scent, and texture that no metal or acrylic shell can match. Ours are ALFI Brand cedar tubs, several sized for two and some supplied with fixtures and headrests, built for a cabin, log home, or spa-style bathroom.
If you love the rustic look but want lower upkeep, hand-hammered copper is the natural alternative: warm, characterful, and aging into a living patina, without the conditioning a wooden tub needs.

Rustic Tub FAQ
Common questions
Are wooden bathtubs practical?
Yes, when cared for. Cedar naturally resists moisture and rot, and the tubs are built and sealed for regular bathing. They ask for a little more upkeep than acrylic: keep the wood conditioned, wipe down after use, and give the tub a well-ventilated room.
What kind of wood are the tubs made from?
Our wooden tubs are cedar, chosen for its natural moisture resistance, warmth to the touch, and scent. Several are large enough for two people, and some come with fixtures and a headrest included.
Do wooden tubs leak?
No. The planks are precision-fitted and sealed to hold water like any freestanding tub. Keeping the wood conditioned prevents drying and keeps the seal tight over time.
What faucet suits a rustic tub?
Oil-rubbed bronze, antique brass, or matte black fillers suit both wood and copper. Some ALFI wooden tubs include a coordinating filler, so check the listing before ordering separately.
